Thanks to all the hard work of people like you, who are fighting for our constitutional rights and raising awareness about mass surveillance, Flock cameras have recently become a political campaign issue.
These are the candidates that are calling for a ban on Flock cameras and related technology, and their numbers are growing.
With your help, we can keep this list updated and comprehensive.
If you know of a candidate that needs to be added to this list, please send us an email at orwellday@protonmail.com. Please include any related links and information. Thank you!
Candidates:
Keith Gross is a Republican attorney, businessman, and U.S. Army National Guard veteran currently running for Florida’s 2nd Congressional District in the 2026 election.
Evan Power is the Chairman of the Republican Party of Florida (RPOF), a position he has held since January 8, 2024. In January 2026, Power announced his candidacy for the U.S. House of Representatives to represent Florida's 2nd Congressional District, seeking to succeed retiring incumbent Neal Dunn.
Tentatively Listed Candidates:
Nic Zateslo is a Democratic candidate running for U.S. House of Representatives in Florida’s 2nd Congressional District in the 2026 election. Regarding Flock cameras Nic said, “I’m certainly opposed to them. We need to build real governance and regulation so people’s privacy is protected.” That sounds good but it's not calling for an outright ban.
Jim Norton, the Gulf County School Superintendent, is running for Florida’s 2nd Congressional District in the 2026 election as a Republican. He announced his candidacy on February 11, 2026, to succeed retiring incumbent Neal Dunn. Jim Norton agreed with his Republican opponents and said he would support a “common‑sense” Flock camera ban. We're not sure what a "common-sense" ban means.
