Two Cherokee Sheriff's deputies, Lieutenant Chris Bryant and Sergeant Mike Creeden, have been fired and arrested for misusing the county's licensed plate reader system for non-law-enforcement purposes. The arrests follow an audit of the system by the Cherokee Sheriff's Office Real-Time Intelligence Division, which discovered the misuse. Both deputies are currently in custody with a $3,812 bond. This comes after Deputy Cynthia Jodesty was arrested and charged for the same violation of agency police and state law on June 12.
